Pharmacy Customer Service Associate Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate to provide exceptional customer service and support pharmacy operations.

Base Pay Range $16.00/hr - $18.00/hr

Responsibilities

Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, greeting customers and assisting with products and services.

Register sales on the assigned cash register and provide courteous, friendly, and efficient checkout service.

Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in pharmacy practice, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, verify medication accuracy, and report prescription errors.

Handle telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention, including physician calls.

Process manual claims for third‑party prescription services in a timely and efficient manner.

Manage inventory and merchandising tasks: keep counters clean, price merchandise, inventory checks, and maintain displays.

Support pharmacy department on inventory management and compliance with state and local laws for regulated products.

Perform clerical duties and support staff pharmacist, including data entry and prescription filling tasks.

Assist customers in the OTC aisle, photo services, and Picture Care Plus pick‑up operations.

Maintain clean and orderly store condition, adhere to company policies, and complete special assignments as assigned.

Operations

Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service throughout the store.

Recommend items for sale, trade‑ups and companion items.

Process customer purchases, voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.

All other duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, or Store Manager.

Training & Personal Development

Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state required certification.

Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the Manager; acquire continuing education credits and stay current on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Basic Qualifications

Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)

Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum six months of retail experience.

Prior work experience with Walgreens.

Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling.

Computer proficiency.

Knowledge of store inventory control.

PTCB certification.
