The actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors. This role will remain open until filled.
Salary Range: $16.00 / hr – $18.00 / hr.
Responsibilities
Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Register sales on assigned cash register and provide customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy; use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, and resolving customer issues to ensure a positive experience.
Recommend items for sale and trade‑up or companion items.
Maintain counters and shelves clean, well‑merchandised, and perform inventory and record‑keeping duties.
Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including calls to physicians.
Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products).
Training & Personal Development
Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state‑required certification/registration.
Attend training and complete required personal product learning modules; acquire continuing education credits and stay current on pharmacy and healthcare developments.
Basic Qualifications
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
At least six months of experience in a retail environment.
Prior work experience with Walgreens.
Good math skills for prescription accuracy, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
Computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.
PTCB certification.
