Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders) according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code programs.
Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments.
Load raw materials and unload finished products, ensuring proper workholding and material handling.
Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments to optimize production.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine or program issues to minimize downtime.
Recommended Qualifications
Proven experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code.
Skilled in using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges) for quality inspection.
Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and various materials.
Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot common issues.
Bonus Qualifications
Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, Fusion 360)
Experience operating and programming advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator)
Demonstrated ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies
