Catholic Parish Life Administration Coordinator

The successful candidate for this position will be a 1099 contractor with Music Ministry International and be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the Fort Irwin Garrison Catholic population by assisting the Catholic Chaplain and Priest in conducting religious services.
Coordinate celebrations within the Liturgical Cycle and develop & maintain the Parish calendar, including weekly Mass schedules, Advent, Christmas, Lenten/Easter programs and special celebrations.
Select, train and supervise volunteers for liturgical roles (e.g., lector, servers, Eucharistic ministers, ushers) and maintain a volunteer roster.
Publicize religious events and activities through bulletins, bulletin boards, publisher’s materials, social media and the PAO.
Maintain the Parish registration and census database, produce semi‑annual census reports, and ensure privacy regulations are observed.
Prepare the weekly Catholic bulletin, coordinate content with the Chaplain, and distribute it to the congregation.
Recommend, prepare and track purchase order requests for religious supplies and publications, and maintain status within the Command Master Religious Plan.
Assist in sacramental administration (baptisms, confirmations, marriage, interments) and file required paperwork with AMS within the specified periods.
Maintain office hours in coordination with the Chaplain, respond to parishioner needs, scheduling, and other duties outlined in this PWS.
Participate in special projects (e.g., semi‑annual Penitential Services, priest meetings, fellowship dinners) and attend required government‑provided training.
Qualifications
Familiar with Catholic faith traditions and practices; committed to the spiritual health of the worshipping community.
Experience with military culture and ministry in a multidenominational, multi‑ethnic Christian community.
Strong organizational, administrative, and record‑keeping skills.
Proficient in English (oral and written). Computer‑literate with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Publisher).
Experience in desktop publishing to produce bulletins or publicity items.
Ability to use the purchase request SOP for Non‑Appropriated Fund (NAF) requests.
Can provide personal transportation for contract duties.
Neat and well‑groomed appearance, wearing an identification badge when working with volunteers and the worshipping community.
