Job Overview Department of Resources Recycling & Recovery (CalRecycle) seeks an Administrative Analyst II (JC-503554) to support the Office of Public Affairs by managing contracts, procurement, budgeting and communication services to ensure efficient office operations.

Salary:

$6,031.00 – $7,547.00 per month. New-to-State candidates will be hired at the minimum salary of the classification.

Final Filing Date:

January 16, 2026. Eligible California residents may work in a hybrid telework arrangement, with a shift toward a fully office‑centered schedule (four days per week) beginning July 1, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

Handle contracts and procurement, including translation and interpretation services.

Track budgets and support HR processes.

Coordinate public meetings and executive calendars.

Respond to public inquiries and post internal department updates.

Assist with foreign delegation vetting and research.

Minimum Requirements

Administrative Analyst II classification; salary range $6,031.00 – $7,547.00.

Relevant experience in administrative support, procurement, or budgeting.

Proficiency with Fi$cal, Cal eProcure, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Ability to provide translation, interpretation, and language‑access services.

Desired Qualifications

Contract and procurement expertise with demonstrated experience managing state contracts, identifying required forms, and ensuring compliance.

Budgeting and administrative skills, including monitoring expenditures and assisting with budget planning.

Strong organizational and project‑management abilities, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

Technical proficiency with standard office software and state procurement systems.

Effective communication skills and a commitment to California’s waste‑free future.

Work Conditions The incumbent works on the 22nd floor of a high‑rise office building in downtown Sacramento, in an enclosed, non‑windowed cubicle in a smoke‑free environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with local or statewide travel as needed.
