Salary: $6,031.00 - $7,547.00 per month (minimum salary for new to state candidates)

Responsibilities The Analyst II is responsible for fulfilling a variety of analytical assignments and providing technical support related to federally funded programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. Duties include developing and preparing invoices and reports for the Home and Community Based Services programs, managing databases, providing technical assistance on federal programs, researching complex programmatic issues, billing federal programs, and analyzing monthly eligibility reports.

Effective July 1, 2025, state employees may exchange five hours per month of Personal Leave for a three percent salary reduction. Position eligible for geographic retention pay differential of $250.00 per month.

Working Conditions Work performed in an open‑spaced partitioned office environment. Requires sitting for extended periods while using a computer or reviewing documents. Minimal statewide travel may be required.

Hybrid, in‑office/telework position per California Government Code 14200, may be modified or cancelled. Incumbent may be required to report to the office or any designated location. Telework agreements can be modified; commute expenses the responsibility of the selected candidate.

Minimum Requirements

Analysis and research experience in federally funded developmental disabilities programs.

Proficiency in database management and reporting.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Relevant education or experience as outlined in the Class Specification.

Department Information The California Department of Developmental Services provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities, including intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism, and related conditions. Services are delivered through state-operated developmental centers, community facilities, and agreements with 21 nonprofit regional centers.
