Security Engineer
Competitive salary range: $6,513 - $10,537 per month. Hybrid telework schedule available. Final filing date: 1/21/2026.
Responsibilities
Monitor technical environments for security alerts and events.
Investigate security incidents, conduct forensic analysis.
Perform security reviews and tests, including vulnerability management.
Maintain security tools, systems, and implement new controls.
Collaborate across domains: Information Security Engineering, System Engineering, Software Engineering, Client Services, and Business Technology Management.
Minimum Qualifications
Current Information Technology Specialist I examination required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity or related role.
Proficiency in security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.
Strong understanding of security controls, tools, platforms.
Working Conditions Normal business hours 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with possible weekend, holiday, or after‑hours work. Statewide overnight travel may be required. Lottery cell phone required and reachable outside normal hours.
