Licensing and Certification Analyst (Analyst II) – JC‑503359

$6,031.00 – $7,775.00 per Month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or a minimum of the alternate range when applicable.

Responsibilities
Perform complex analytical assignments for the Substance Use Disorder Licensing and Certification Section (SUDLCS), including monitoring a caseload of substance‑use disorder (SUD) programs.
Conduct compliance audits and site visits to ensure adherence to California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 9, and AOD Certification Standards.
Travel statewide (including overnight stays) for up to 50% of the time by airplane, train, automobile, or other transportation methods; travel may last up to one week at a time and several weeks per month, depending on workload and operational need.
Special Requirements
Position requires employee to be fingerprinted and successfully pass a background investigation.
Travel required 50% of the time; position may require overnight travel for up to 4 consecutive nights to meet training requirements.
Minimum Requirements Minimum Requirements are found in the Class Specification for the Analyst II classification.
Desirable Qualifications
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to compose clear, concise, and effective memos, letters, and analyses.
Strong analytical skills with experience reviewing and analyzing documents and/or applications for completeness according to policies, procedures, and regulations.
Exceptional time‑management and organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple competing priorities.
Competency in using basic office software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

SROA and Surplus candidates are given priority; other candidates may be considered if no SROA or Surplus candidates apply.
Telework and Salary Information This field‑based position may be eligible for telework up to five days per week. Telework availability and the amount of telework are at the discretion of the Department and may change consistent with DHCS Telework Program guidelines.
Travel is required and reimbursement is considered per regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions.
