Position Description The University of South Florida, School of Social Work invites applications for the MSW Online Social Work Program Field Coordinator & Assistant Instructor position. The position will be responsible for the recruitment of new community partners, continued engagement with current community partners, and the student field placement process in coordination with the Director of Field Education. The position is dedicated to providing instruction in the Online MSW program and contributing to the service needs in the School, including the admissions process, advising and other duties. This is a 12‑month continual appointment, subject to annual evaluations. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Promotional opportunities are provided in accordance with the University of South Florida – Tampa, Career Path for Instructors: Promotion Guidelines. The first review of applications will be completed on January 21, 2026, with an anticipated start date of May 7, 2026.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
MSW from a CSWE accredited School of Social Work.
Two years of full‑time or the equivalent of part‑time post‑graduate social work practice experience.
Teaching experience in social work higher education.
Preferred Qualifications
Administrative experience in social work education and/or leadership in a human service agency.
Experience in field education, such as creating and developing community partnerships, coordinating student placements, and providing oversight of students throughout the field placement process.
Online teaching experience in social work education.
Demonstrated ability to problem‑solve and prioritize tasks.
Experience with competency‑based standards.
Supervisory experience with students or staff.
Social work state licensure in any state; State of Florida preferred.
