CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT – SLEEP & PULMONARY – PHYSICIAN PRACTICE

Responsibilities
Prepare exam and treatment rooms, supplies, and instruments.
Assist patients to prepare for physician visits and examinations.
Takes patients' vital signs and records them in the medical chart.
Operate and maintain special equipment: EKG, PFT, audiometry, Titmus test, UDS, BAT, phlebotomy, and other lab tests as needed.
Maintain patient records; file records and reports.
Assist with collections and billing procedures as needed.
Use computer software to maintain office systems.
Identify and respond to issues of confidentiality.
Adjust care to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Adhere to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Lift and move at least 5 lbs., push or pull at least 5 lbs., and stand for at least 1 hour per day.
Qualifications
High‑school diploma or GED.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Knowledge of computerized processes and data‑entry procedures.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred).
Certified Medical Assistant (any recognized credential).
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Compensation Minimum rate: $23.27 per hour.
