Certified Medical Assistant – Orthopedic – Physician Practice

Overview Assist in clinical care of orthopedic patients under supervision of nurses or physicians, provide clerical support.
Responsibilities
Prepare exam rooms, treatment rooms, supplies, instruments.
Assist patients for physician visit and examination as directed.
Takes patient vital signs, records in medical chart.
Perform EKG, PFT, Audiometry, Titmus Test; UDS, BAT, Phlebotomy, lab testing.
Maintain patient records, file and reports.
Assist with collections/billing procedures.
Use computer software for office systems.
Identify and respond to confidentiality issues.
Identify patient population needs and deliver specific care.
Other duties as assigned.
Adhere to HMH standards.
Lift 5 lbs, push/pull 5 lbs, stand 1 hour.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED.
Excellent communication skills.
Effective interaction with varying populations.
Tolerate fast paced environment.
Knowledge of computerized processes and data entry.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred).
Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent (required).
AHA Basic Life Support (preferred).
Compensation Starting at $23.27 hourly. Full‑time, benefits available.
