Credit Risk Strategy Analyst III – BMO U.S. As part of the Credit Strategy & Analytics team within the U.S. Indirect Lending line of business, this role will undertake data‑driven analysis to evaluate and monitor the credit performance of the Indirect Lending portfolios, support Dealer Management reporting and analysis, assess credit strategies, and help ensure the portfolio performs within Risk Appetite.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain reporting dashboards using appropriate data‑extraction, cleaning, and visualization techniques.

Provide insights through reporting and data visualization, configuring and implementing analytics solutions for consistency and repeatability.

Research and apply continuous improvement in data visualization by identifying trends and patterns to transform raw data into actionable business insights.

Collaborate with different teams, management and stakeholders to enhance the usability and aesthetic appeal of data analytics solutions deployed within the organization.

Translate business needs into technical specifications and evaluate existing data‑visualization systems for improvement.

Develop data visualizations of large amounts of data that facilitate intuitive presentation to decision makers.

Document data flow, systems and processes to improve design, implementation and management of business processes.

Develop tools and deliver training programs for use of reporting tools and self‑serve analytics by non‑analytical end users; may include training delivery to audiences.

Provide specialized consulting, analytical and technical support to the business.

Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.

Work independently and handle non‑routine situations.

Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Foundational level of proficiency:

technical design optimization, decision making, systems thinking.

Intermediate level of proficiency:

data visualization, data storytelling, data mining, illustration, creative thinking, problem solving, verbal & written communication, collaboration & team skills, analytical problem solving, data‑driven decision making.

Advanced level of proficiency:

insights design, insights development and reporting. Typically between 5–7 years of relevant experience and a post‑secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.

Salary $74,000.00 – $138,000.00
