Overview
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a core accounting team supporting a growing, inventory-driven consumer products business with significant annual revenue. This role partners closely with accounting leadership and plays a hands‑on role in the close process, balance sheet integrity, and financial reporting. For someone who consistently delivers, this position offers a clear progression toward an Accounting Manager role over time.
The right candidate will bring a blend of public accounting audit training and in‑house accounting experience, be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with inventory, and communicate effectively across finance and non‑finance teams.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Contribute to and take ownership of key areas within the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet account reconciliations
Support income statement analysis, including variance explanations for leadership
Assist with inventory‑related accounting activities, including physical counts when required
Prepare schedules and documentation to support external audits
Help refine and document accounting processes to improve accuracy and efficiency
Collaborate with sales, account management, and other internal partners to resolve accounting questions
Provide coverage and support across the accounting function during peak periods such as year‑end and audits
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Approximately 3–5 years of combined experience, including:
~2 years in public accounting audit (not tax)
1–3 years in a corporate accounting environment, ideally at the senior accountant level
Strong foundation in U.S. GAAP and audit principles
Exposure to inventory or product‑based businesses preferred
Solid Excel skills and general comfort with accounting systems and new tools
Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
A dependable, team‑oriented professional who is comfortable growing in place over the next several years
