Business Analyst Analytics, Strategy & Decision Support
Location: New Jersey / Hybrid

Role Summary We are looking for a high-performing Business Analyst with strong analytical skills, excellent Excel and slide-building ability, and experience creating dashboards and business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar). This role is ideal for someone with consulting-style problem solving, comfort working with unstructured datasets, and the ability to support cross‑functional leaders with clear, structured insights.
You will work directly with the VP of Analytics & Technology to develop metrics and dashboards, build models, support operational and financial analysis, and contribute to strategic decisions across a growing healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities Dashboarding & Business Intelligence
Build, refine, and maintain dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar BI platforms.
Use strong data modeling fundamentals to create reliable, scalable reporting.
Build KPI dashboards for operations, staffing, finance, HR, and clinical programs.
Collaborate with the VP of Analytics & Technology on data source integration and automation.
Analytical & Financial Modeling
Build advanced Excel models, including scenario analyses, forecasting tools, staffing models, and revenue/cost models.
Perform structured data analysis to support decisions around operations, staffing, clinical productivity, compensation, and growth.
Validate, clean, and transform raw data from EMR, billing, HRIS, payroll, CRM, and other systems.
Executive Reporting & Communication
Create executive‑ready PowerPoint materials for leadership meetings, board updates, and strategy sessions.
Synthesize complex operational or financial data into clear narratives with visual clarity.
Organize findings into structured frameworks.
Project & Cross-Functional Support
Support strategic initiatives across Operations, HR, Finance, Clinical Services, and Business Development.
Participate in workflow mapping, requirements gathering, and process documentation for new tools or operational improvements.
Assist in building performance metrics, process dashboards, and visibility tools.
Required Qualifications Technical
Strong proficiency in Excel (Power Query a plus) and PowerPoint.
Skilled with modern BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik, etc.).
Experience with automation tools to improve workflow efficiency (Power App, Power Automate, etc.)
Ability to structure, clean, and analyze large datasets.
Experience 2-5 years in:
Management consulting
FP&A or corporate strategy
Healthcare analytics
Business intelligence or data analysis roles
Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with senior leaders.
Experience delivering insights in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.
Mindset
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Analytical, curious, resourceful, and comfortable with incomplete information.
High ownership attitude with excellent follow‑through.
Preferred (Strong Plus, but Not Required)
SQL proficiency for querying and analyzing data
Exposure to healthcare operations: census, utilization, staffing models, payer mix, EMR data, etc.
Experience with workflow mapping or process improvement.
Familiarity with Python/R for light analysis or automation (not required).
