JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is seeking a highly experienced Litigation Paralegal to support our trial attorneys in managing a high-volume litigation docket. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess extensive knowledge of state and federal court procedures. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have experience with the Public Utilities Commission and/or the Texas Railroad Commission (this is not an absolute requirement).
Key Responsibilities
Draft and format shell discovery responses, correspondence, and pleading shells
Prepare hearing and trial notebooks
Manage and maintain calendaring of court deadlines, hearings, and discovery obligations
E-file documents in state and federal courts using E-File Texas and PACER/ECF
Assist with trial preparation
Perform internet and legal research using Westlaw and other platforms
Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm setting
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Westlaw, PACER/ECF, and E-File Texas
Strong internet research and analytical skills
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
Willingness to work overtime as needed, including occasional evenings or weekends during trial prep
