Position Summary
The Graduate Nurse (GN) is a graduate professional nurse who coordinates and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care according to the Texas Board of Nursing.
Qualifications
Education : Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience : A minimum of one (1) nursing experience preferred.
Licensure : A graduate permit is allowed on a temporary basis and an RN license is required upon graduate permit expiration or within six months of hire.
Additional Requirements : Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications, possess current CPR certification upon hire, and successfully complete Handle With Care, which includes physical hold and verbal de‑escalation during orientation.
