Position Summary The RN – Telemetry provides safe, high‑quality nursing care to adult medical‑surgical and telemetry patients. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to manage multiple patient conditions, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient‑centered care.
Unit Details
Patient Population:
General Medical/Surgical and Telemetry patients
Patient Ratios:
Up to 6 patients per nurse (based on staffing)
Telemetry Monitoring:
Central monitoring with Tele Tech support
Required Experience
Minimum
2 years of RN Medical/Surgical experience
First‑time travelers accepted
Required Licensure & Certifications
Active RN License
BLS – Required
NIHSS – Required
ACLS – Preferred
Required Skills & Competencies
Cardiac rhythm interpretation
Tracheostomy care
Chest tube management
IV medication management including:
Lasix drips
Insulin drips
Heparin drips
Wound VAC management
Strong general Med/Surg skillset
Support & Resources
CNAs/Patient Care Techs
Health Unit Coordinators (HUC)
Charge Nurse
Rapid Response Team
Phlebotomy for peripheral lab draws
Floating
May float to any Medical/Surgical unit
Assignments coordinated through the House Supervisor

Schedule Details
Shift:
Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule Cycle:
6 weeks
Weekend Rotation:
Every other weekend
Holidays:
Every other major holiday
On-Call:
None
Time Off (RTO)
Up to
7 days of RTO approved
with contract extension if needed
Dress Code
Any solid color scrubs (no logos)
