Responsibilities
Assist the Senior Transportation Engineer and Transportation Engineer in the Culvert Inventory Program by researching, collecting, and organizing culvert inventory and assessment data.
Analyze inventory data to identify repair needs and prioritize maintenance actions.
Support field data collection activities, including travel district-wide, performing site inspections, and climbing slopes as required.
Maintain accurate data records in both office and field settings.
Minimum Requirements
Eligibility for hire based on score on the Transportation Engineering Technician examination.
Current State civil service examination list status (or transfer, LEAP, etc.) for new-to-state candidates.
Valid driver's license required when operating State-owned or leased vehicles.
Pass school, license or certificate verification (degree transcripts, license or certificate copies).
Working Conditions Work in an office setting and perform field work district-wide, exposing employees to wildlife and insects. Overnights may be required for field data collection. Some travel within the State may occur.
