Position Description Flynn Group entered the Panera system in 2015 with the acquisition of 47 cafes. Since then, we have more than tripled in size to become the 2nd largest Panera franchisee in the world. Flynn Panera is a franchisee of Panera Bread. Our decentralized model gives each Market Leader authority over geographic areas. Reporting to the Market Leader are Area Directors, who oversee multiple units. General Managers and Assistant Managers run day‑to‑day operations.

Our cafes are upscale, friendly spaces featuring baked breads, pastries, made‑to‑order soups, salads and sandwiches, as well as specialty espresso beverages. We operate a grease and alcohol‑free environment with no fryers and no late nights.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Provide outstanding leadership to staff.

Passion for the industry, inspiring, coaching, counseling, creating a profitable environment, delivering exceptional customer experience.

Maintain high standards of restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, food quality, safety, and facility management.

Supervise up to 75 staff members and ensure top quality service.

Manage overall business performance: ordering, scheduling, labor management, marketing, facilities, bakery operations, catering.

Analyze and plan restaurant sales and profitability.

Create and execute plans for sustained profitability.

Act as primary conduit of information between associates and management.

Recruit, train, develop, and retain team members and managers.

Manage budgets and control costs.

Coordinate operation during scheduled shifts.

Ensure customer satisfaction through greetings and table visits.

Coach and mentor associates through one‑on‑one sessions, performance documentation, and performance reviews.

Anticipate problems and take action to prevent them.

Be primary resource for associate questions.

Ensure staff are trained and competent in all aspects of food service and customer support.

Recruit and train staff to meet staffing par levels.

Ensure objectives are achieved within company guidelines, cultural values, and ethical business practices.

Exhibit professional image, promote and embody company values.

Education and Experience

At least 2–3 years of hospitality management experience.

A degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or hotel/restaurant management preferred.

Food management certifications are a plus.

Must have the Run it Like you Own It mentality.

Physical Standards

Must be able to stand and exert well‑paced mobility for up to ten (10) hours.

Must safely lift pots, pans, glassware, boxes, etc. up to 50 pounds.

Must read and write to facilitate communication.

Must possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment.
