About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director for its Marine Products Board, a key leadership role focused on marketing and development within the seafood industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of marketing strategies that support the effective promotion of marine products, with a strong emphasis on both domestic and international markets. This includes identifying and creating profitable sales opportunities for seafood producers, processors, and fisheries. The role also involves coordinating with state and national marketing efforts to ensure a cohesive and effective representation of the seafood industry.
Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a background in marketing, business practices, and administrative leadership. While not mandatory, experience and knowledge of the seafood industry, particularly in the region, is preferred. The role requires the ability to manage multiple projects, exercise independent judgment, and make sound decisions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in executing administrative functions, organizing and directing staff, and effectively communicating policies. A degree in a related field is preferred, and the candidate must have a valid driver's license, a responsible driving record, and the ability to obtain a passport.
