About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and a key member of the senior leadership team. The CFO will provide financial leadership, oversee day-to-day financial operations, and ensure the organization's sustainability and growth. This role involves directing the annual budget process, managing cash flow, and providing regular financial reports. The CFO will also be responsible for compliance and risk management, including enhancing financial stability, ensuring compliance with regulations, and coordinating the annual audit. Daily operations include managing accounts receivable, invoicing, and accounts payable, as well as overseeing the outsourced payroll and HR processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid analytical mindset, be detail-oriented, and possess executive-level communication and collaboration skills.
Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business management, with a CPA, MBA, or other advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years' experience in finance, accounting, business operations, and/or grant/contract administration, particularly in a non-profit environment, is required. Proficiency in advanced online accounting systems is also necessary. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a high level of ethics, capable of managing multiple projects, and adept at working with diverse stakeholders. Experience in Jewish communal organizations, endowment management, and familiarity with social services, early childhood education, or refugee resettlement is a plus.
