About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive leadership team. The CFO will be a strategic leader in accounting and finance, responsible for developing and executing financial strategies that align with the company's mission and growth goals. This role is pivotal in maximizing shareholder (employee) value, particularly in the context of an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP). The successful candidate will lead company-wide financial strategy, own capital planning and cash management, and promote a culture of transparency and ownership. Key responsibilities also include overseeing all finance and accounting functions, leading M&A strategy and execution, and ensuring ESOP compliance and strategy.
The ideal candidate for the CFO position at the company will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with an MBA and CPA being preferred. A minimum of 10 years' of senior-level finance experience, including a proven track record in managing financial operations within an ESOP or employee-owned business, is required. The role demands a strong understanding of corporate finance, capital structures, GAAP, and regulatory compliance, as well as experience in forecasting, valuations, and cash flow planning. Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential, as the CFO will be expected to lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams, and work closely with the executive team to drive the company's financial performance and strategic decision-making.
