Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in Cibolo, TX is seeking two full-time Special Education Teachers to support students in grades 6 through 12. This contract position is for the current school year (CSY) and focuses on working with students who have language needs, providing essential instructional support within a K-12 educational setting. Key responsibilities include: Delivering specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of students with language challenges Coordinating and administering TELPAS (Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System) testing to ensure proper assessment and documentation of students language proficiency Collaborating with other educators and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) that promote student growth and success Maintaining accurate student records and monitoring progress to adjust instructional strategies as needed Preferred qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching certification for grades 6-12 Experience working with students who have diverse language needs Knowledge of TELPAS administration and coordination Strong communication and organizational skills Locations available: One position at an upper-grade school serving students in grades 6-12 One position at another secondary school with a similar student demographic These opportunities offer a meaningful way to impact the educational development of students requiring specialized language support services.
