Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2025-2026 school year at an elementary school located in Bridgeport, CT. This contract role spans from ASAP through June 2026, offering approximately 32.5 to 35 hours per week. The position specifically focuses on providing both push-in and pull-out special education services within a K-5 setting. Responsibilities: Deliver individualized and group special education instruction aligned with students IEPs. Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement push-in support strategies. Provide targeted pull-out interventions to meet diverse learning needs. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation. Engage with families and educational teams to support student development. Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans. Required Qualifications: Valid certification in Special Education. Previous experience working in a school setting, preferably in elementary education. Strong knowledge of special education laws and best practices. Ability to manage a caseload effectively and adapt instruction for various learning styles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
