Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2025-2026 school year at an elementary school located in Stamford, CT. This contract role runs from ASAP through June 2026, offering a schedule of 32.5 to 35 hours per week. The position focuses on providing essential support to elementary students (K-5) with special education needs. Key Responsibilities: Deliver both push-in and pull-out special education services to meet diverse student needs. Manage an elementary caseload, collaborating closely with general education teachers and support staff. Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement instructional strategies aligned with students goals. Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as required for optimal outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with families and school teams. Desired Qualifications: Experience working as a special education teacher within a school setting. Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and instructional techniques. Ability to provide differentiated instruction and behavior support tailored to each student. Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration and parent engagement. Certification in special education preferred.
