A middle school special education teaching position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in Stamford, CT. This full-time contract role, running from the start of the school year through June 2026, offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic educational environment supporting diverse learners. The position involves working with middle school students requiring special education services, without assignment to a specific caseload focus such as Autism. Candidates should have prior experience in a school setting to effectively manage and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver specialized instruction tailored to students' unique learning needs. Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed. Maintain compliance with special education laws and school policies. Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities. Qualifications and Experience: Valid teaching certification in special education. Previous school experience working with middle school students. Strong understanding of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavioral interventions. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a school community.
