Providing speech-language pathology services in a K-12 school setting requires specialized skills and dedication. This contract opportunity is based in Kenner, LA, serving multiple schools within the Jefferson Parish area, with a particular focus on elementary schools on the west bank. Ideal candidates will hold a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders and possess active state licensure or eligibility for licensure. Certification from ASHA (CCC-SLP) is preferred, ensuring the highest standards of clinical expertise. This full-time position offers a 35-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, aligning with the standard school calendar. Daily hours include 7 hours plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct speech-language pathology services to students from K through 12th grade. Manage individualized caseloads primarily focused on early childhood and elementary-aged children. Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement effective communication intervention plans. Maintain detailed records and comply with all state and federal guidelines regarding student care and documentation. Participate in professional development and team meetings as required. Qualifications: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders. Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana. ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience working within a school environment is highly desirable. Ability to work full-time according to the school calendar. This position begins ASAP and concludes at the end of the current school year on May 22, 2026. The assignment is on-site, allowing for hands-on interaction with students and staff.
