Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school located in Warrenville, IL. This contract role is scheduled to begin as soon as possible and continue through the end of the school year. The position primarily involves managing a high school caseload of students with autism who have complex needs. Key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students with autism and complex needs. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support student development and progress. Utilizing effective instructional strategies to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Conducting assessments and monitoring student progress regularly. Communicating with families and caregivers to ensure consistent support across home and school settings. Qualifications and desired experience: Valid Special Education teaching certification. Experience working with students on the autism spectrum, particularly those with complex needs. Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. Strong organizational and communication skills.
