Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An elementary school in Naperville, IL is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher for a contract position lasting from ASAP to the end of the school year (EOSY). This role focuses on supporting a high school caseload of students with autism and complex needs. Responsibilities include: Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with autism and complex needs Providing direct instruction and support to promote academic and social-emotional growth Collaborating with educators, specialists, and families to ensure a comprehensive approach to student development Monitoring progress and adjusting strategies to meet evolving student needs Maintaining detailed records and documentation in compliance with special education guidelines Qualifications/Desired
Experience: Valid teaching certification in special education Experience working with students with autism and complex behavioral needs Strong knowledge of individualized instructional strategies and behavior intervention plans Ability to manage a high caseload effectively Excellent communication and teamwork skills Location: Naperville, IL (Elementary school setting) This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students with diverse learning requirements in a supportive educational environment.
