Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1+ year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a skilled Cath Lab Technologist specializing in imaging within a catheterization laboratory setting. This contract role is based in Saint Johns, FL, supporting procedural cardiac interventions and diagnostic services in a high-acuity environment. Location Overview: Saint Johns is a thriving community known for its quality of life, excellent schools, and proximity to beautiful beaches and outdoor recreational areas. It offers a favorable balance of suburban comfort with access to metropolitan amenities. Key Responsibilities: Perform and assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including Left Heart Cath, PCI, STEMI protocols, stroke interventions, carotid stenting, and peripheral diagnostic and interventions. Scrub efficiently and maintain sterile fields during procedures. Monitor patient status throughout interventions. Support preparation and recovery areas as needed. Document all procedures accurately using Meditech and MacLab systems. Participate in rotating weekend and holiday shifts in accordance with hospital policy. Collaborate with a team of 5-10 physicians and a dedicated charge nurse to ensure smooth daily workflow. Qualifications and Experience: Certification as an RCIS, RCES, or RT(R) is required. Current ACLS and BLS certifications mandatory. Experience in cath lab imaging technology including GE Innova, OCT, Boston IVUS, Impella, IABP, RotoPro, CSI, and Penumbra devices is preferred. Proven ability to scrub and monitor for LHC, RHC, PCI, STEMI, and peripheral procedures. Minimum of one year of cath lab experience acceptable. Scheduling: 4 shifts per week of 10 hours each. On-call schedule consists of two teams covering approximately 15-18 days monthly. Weekend and holiday rotations required. Additional Information: Newer state-of-the-art procedure rooms and equipment. Facility recognized with multiple certifications and awards including GWTG Mission Lifeline, CAD and CHF care excellence. Required dress code includes ceil blue scrubs provided by the employer.
