This contract position for the current school year is ideal for educators committed to fostering academic growth and social development for students with diverse learning needs. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instructional strategies for elementary and middle school students in both inclusion and self-contained environments. Manage an average caseload of 15 students in elementary inclusion settings, supporting their individual learning goals. Oversee a self-contained elementary classroom with an average of 8 students, providing intensive support. Support an average caseload of 15 students in middle school inclusion classrooms. Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods to meet evolving needs. Desired Experience and Qualifications: Certified Special Education Teacher with applicable state licensure. Experience managing various classroom settings, including inclusion and self-contained formats. Strong understanding of K-12 curriculum and ability to adapt lessons to diverse learner profiles. Effective communication and collaboration skills with educational teams and families. Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment that promotes student independence and success.
