Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year in an elementary school setting located in Concord, NC. The role focuses on supporting students in grades 3 through 5 within an inclusive classroom environment, promoting individualized learning and development. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement specialized instructional plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities in grades 3-5 Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment Monitor student progress through assessments and adapt teaching strategies accordingly Ensure compliance with individualized education program (IEP) requirements and maintain accurate documentation Promote social and emotional growth alongside academic achievement within the classroom setting Qualifications & Desired Experience: Valid state certification in Special Education Experience working with elementary-aged children in an inclusion setting, preferably grades 3-5 Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families Excellent communication and organizational skills Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere Location: Concord, North Carolina This contract assignment offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students educational journey during the current school year.
