Physical Therapist – Black Hills Orthopedic & Spine Center, Rapid City, SD
Sanford Health is looking for a Physical Therapist at our Black Hills Orthopedic & Spine Center in Rapid City, SD. This full‑time position offers 40 hours per week with a salary range of $35.00 to $52.00 per hour.

Department Details Our physical therapy department is known for a collaborative environment, strong onboarding, mentorship, continuing education, and opportunities for specialization. Therapists work closely with physicians and APPs, managing a diverse caseload that includes sports, orthopedic, and other impairments.
Job Summary We seek a strategic, communicative, and compassionate PT who diagnoses and treats patients with conditions limiting mobility, improves functionality, alleviates pain, and promotes independence. Flexibility, collaboration, and problem‑solving are essential, and the role may involve lifting and transferring patients.
Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and deliver physical therapy programs to improve mobility, relieve pain, and strengthen patients.
Document patient information for evaluation and maintain accurate records.
Educate patients and family members about treatment plans and home exercise programs.
Adhere to departmental guidelines and regulatory requirements for documentation.
Track therapeutic progress, analyze results, and recommend adjustments.
Follow all guidelines, regulations, standards, and safety procedures.
Qualifications
Appropriate education level matching state licensure requirements.
Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state(s) of practice.
Valid driver’s license (when applicable).
Maintain required departmental competencies and certifications.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within first 60 days.
