Job Summary:
The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented, prepare, serve, and break down product, equipment, and supplies, intercept consumers, demonstrate products in a professional manner, and maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
Responsibilities
Acquire and maintain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
Proactively intercept, engage, interact with, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe work station using cleaning chemicals.
Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.
Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents including Microsoft Word & Adobe PDF forms.
Qualifications
Education / Experience:
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in use and navigation on a personal computer or mobile device using applications and internal systems.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Local food handlers permit may be required.
Physical Demands:
Stand and walk during the shift; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms up to 65 inches; talk and hear; read instructions; stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step ladder; balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully loaded; prepare foods and beverages using required appliances; be in contact with cleaning supplies.
Work Environment:
Retail store environment with limited travel.
Physical Appearance:
Ensure a professional appearance and proper grooming as per retailer dress code.
Language Skills:
English primary; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
