Physical Therapist – Black Hills Orthopedic & Spine Center, Rapid City, SD (Full-Time)
Sanford Health’s Black Hills Orthopedic & Spine Center is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high‑quality therapeutic care to patients and residents. This full‑time position is located in Rapid City, SD.
Job Summary Diagnose and treat individuals with conditions limiting mobility, aiming to alleviate pain, improve physical function, and promote optimal quality of life. Develop and deliver individualized therapy programs, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support patients and families through education and encouragement.
Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and provide physical therapy programs to improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities.
Document patient evaluations and therapeutic progress in accordance with departmental guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, schedules, and self‑exercise regimens for home use.
Analyze and record therapeutic outcomes, recommending adjustments as needed.
Follow all guidelines, regulations, standards, and safety procedures during therapy sessions.
Qualifications
Appropriate educational background and state licensure in physical therapy.
License to practice in South Dakota (or applicable state(s)).
Valid driver’s license, when required.
Ability to maintain required department competencies and certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers within 60 days of employment.
