How will you make an impact in this role? As part of CPLC's Community Schools program, the Girls Leadership Academy of Arizona (GLAAZ) is the only tuition‑free all‑girls high school in Arizona. GLAAZ empowers young women to succeed as leaders in their classrooms, their communities, and their lives. Our mission is to provide young women an opportunity to achieve high school and college academic success simultaneously while nurturing self‑confidence and developing leadership skills in an academically rigorous environment.

Provide quality instruction pertinent to your area, utilizing cooperative learning strategies, differentiation, and small‑group instruction.

Work with diverse populations.

Maintain a strong classroom presence and develop daily and unit lesson plans that are thoughtful, goal‑oriented, and aligned with the curriculum and the AZ State Standards.

Master the necessary content knowledge and skills to successfully teach assigned content area(s) and grade level(s).

Who you are?

Maintain a positive attitude and build appropriate relationships with students.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.

Collaborate with colleagues to create and implement interdisciplinary, standards‑based project learning.

Show interest in professional growth and eagerness to participate in ongoing professional development.

Be organized and detail‑oriented, maintaining accurate student records, progress reports, and report cards.

Minimum qualifications and competencies Education / Background

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in education or a content area (required).

Arizona teaching certification (required).

Comprehensive knowledge of the AZ Standards.

Valid Class 1 or Class 2 Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Willingness to collaborate with colleagues in planning for academic improvement in areas beyond your own.

Willingness to teach multiple grades and subject levels.

Willingness to differentiate instruction.

Willingness to oversee or advise extracurricular activities (student clubs, intramural sports, music instruction, etc.).

Willingness to work with students before or after school to support academic growth.

Preferred experience utilizing community experts and resources to enhance instruction.

Experience building student and parent relationships to improve achievement.

Experience working with an underserved student population.
