Patient Service Representative
Peachtree Immediate Care has an immediate opening for a Patient Service Representative at our Dunwoody location.
Full‑time position: 3 12‑hour shifts with a rotating weekend shift.
Job Overview Peachtree Immediate Care is a leading urgent care operator in the state of Georgia. Our mission is to provide the perfect patient experience so our patients can “Get in. Get out. Get better”. We are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant who can provide healthcare services to patients in a clinical setting, serving as a liaison between patients and medical providers.
Responsibilities
Greet, register, instruct, discharge, and provide general assistance to patients.
Obtain demographic and financial information and enter the computer system.
Verify insurance eligibility and relay relevant information on payment policies and billing/collection processes.
Determine and collect co‑pays, co‑insurance, deductibles, past‑due balances, and other patient financial responsibilities and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
Answer the telephone promptly, record virtual messages, and return voicemails.
Perform clerical tasks as required.
Open, sort, and screen mail.
Assist patients with required processes (e.g., CCPA, Self‑Pay, Out‑of‑Network).
Prepare the facility for daily operations.
Maintain a warm, outgoing personality, excellent telephone etiquette, and the ability to work accurately, efficiently, and under pressure.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and with patients in a high‑paced facility.
Reliable transportation to commute to assigned regional offices.
Ability to work all shifts including day, evening, and weekend hours as needed.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Detail‑oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Working Conditions Works in clean, well‑lit, heated, and air‑conditioned areas. Exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, and infectious diseases is possible. The work schedule depends on department needs and current staffing patterns. Holiday and weekend work as necessary.
