Other divisions include Administration, Health Services, Rehabilitation & Reentry, Special Operations and the Post-Release Supervision & Parole Commission. We have a mission that matters!**Description of Work**Salary Range: $37,782 - $66,120

Reporting to the Correctional Lieutenant II, this position is responsible for assigning lower level custody staff to an area or post, evaluating/overseeing officer activities and performance; and ensuring that the custody, security, and welfare of offenders are maintained. Job responsibilities include; but are not limited to, the following:

- Coordinating work schedules to ensure shift coverage, implementing operational procedures, and ensuring rules and regulations are followed according to policy.

- Ensuring that staff are fully trained, and that proper conduct, actions and procedures are being followed.

- Maintaining facility security through regular inspections to ensure compliance with governing regulations and standards relating to facility maintenance; health and safety of offenders.

- Communicating effective instruction/direction during drills, distress codes, escapes, transporting offenders, searches and in emergency situations.

- Conducting and/or supervising searches of offenders, offender living areas, and work areas for contraband.

- Assisting with facility interviews.
