Travel RN - Med/Surg Tele

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry position in a hospital setting, requiring a DC RN license and two years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience.

Job Details

- Position is located in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit of a hospital,

- Care is provided to adult patients requiring telemetry monitoring,

- Night shift with three 12-hour shifts per week,

- Cerner EMR is used and experience with Cerner is required,

- Telemetry monitoring and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) usage are required,

Job Requirements

- Active DC RN license is required and must be in hand at the time of consideration,

- Current AHA certifications in BLS and ACLS are required,

- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is required,

- CPI certification is required,

- Minimum of two years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience in a US hospital is required,

- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program is required,

- BSN is highly desired,

- Cerner EMR experience is required,

- Candidate must live at least 25 miles from the facility,

Additional Information

- Responsible for providing competent and efficient nursing care to adult Med/Surg Telemetry patients,

- Performs comprehensive initial and ongoing patient assessments and documents appropriately,

- Applies knowledge of patient growth and development to deliver age-appropriate care,

- Must provide two professional references, with at least one from a recent manager or supervisor,
