Travel RN - Med/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Washington, D.C. requiring DC licensure, two years of experience, and night shifts.

Job Details

- Work in a hospital setting on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit,

- 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week),

- Patient assignment required in a telemetry environment,

- Uses Cerner EMR and prior Cerner experience is required,

Job Requirements

- Active and current RN license in the District of Columbia (no pending licenses allowed),

- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program,

- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association,

- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required,

- CPI certification mandated by the position,

- Minimum of two years RN experience in a United States hospital,

- Minimum of two years recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience,

- Cerner EMR experience required,

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) highly desired,

- Must reside at least 25 miles from the facility,

- US Social Security number required for consideration,

Additional Information

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical/surgical and telemetry patients,

- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and document all findings according to policy,

- Apply age-appropriate care and interpret patient needs over the lifespan,

- Two manager or supervisor references verifying recent experience are preferred,

- Must be able to interpret and deliver care based on patient needs and treatment requirements,
