Travel RN - Med/Surg Tele

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Tele position requiring a DC RN license, night shifts, and two years of Med/Surg Tele experience.

Job Details

- Work in the Intermediate Care (IMC) unit of a hospital setting,

- Medical/Surgical Telemetry patient population,

- Three 12-hour night shifts per week,

- Uses Cerner EMR system with required experience,

- Patient care delivered in accordance with IMC protocols,

Job Requirements

- Active DC RN license required at the time of consideration,

- Minimum two years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience in a US hospital required,

- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required,

- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program,

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) highly desired,

- Cerner EMR experience required,

- Physical and legal ability to work night shifts and comply with all credentialing requirements,

- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification mandated by position,

- Must provide US Social Security Number,

- Must provide at least two supervisory or managerial references from the past 12 months, with one from the most recent employer,

Additional Information

- Deliver competent, efficient, and compassionate direct patient care to meet the needs of patients and families,

- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, including admission assessments and system reviews, with timely and accurate documentation,

- Apply knowledge of growth and development for age-appropriate nursing care,

- Must live at least 25 miles from the hospital given updated traveler mileage requirements,

- Adhere to all relevant patient safety, documentation, and quality standards,

- Position requires COVID and flu vaccination documentation,
