Overview The CalSTRS Retirement Readiness Division seeks a motivated individual to work as an Analyst I on the Scheduling and Estimates Team. The role involves administering telephone planning services to benefit recipients, active and inactive members, and applying knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies within the retirement system.
Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Scheduling and Estimates Pension Program Manager I, the Analyst I performs duties of average difficulty required to:
Administer telephone planning services to eligible members and outside participants.
Complete complex calculations related to scheduling and estimates.
Apply knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, and policies within CalSTRS.
Provide training to staff as needed.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
Ability to listen effectively and provide excellent customer service.
Dependable, with excellent attendance and strong work habits.
Experience working in a team environment.
Ability to provide training to staff.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to complete complex calculations.
Minimum Requirements Salary ranges for the position are:
Analyst I: $3,861.00 – $4,839.00 (Classification A)
Analyst I: $4,181.00 – $5,233.00 (Classification B)
Analyst I: $5,014.00 – $6,276.00 (Classification C)
New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
Working Conditions CalSTRS offers a hybrid approach including in-office and remote work solutions based on business needs. All staff are employees of the State of California, subject to California employment taxes and withholdings. Upon appointment, staff must provide a current California address for remote work location.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without needing visa sponsorship by the start date of employment.
