Capacity Management Analyst I - HSO AMB CAPACITY MGMT & ACCESS - MSH (Full‑Time, M‑F 9AM‑5PM, Hybrid)
Description
The Capacity Management Analyst I applies knowledge of the client’s clinical and business requirements, Epic Cadence application capabilities, and technical skills to implement and support advanced scheduling throughout the Ambulatory enterprise. As a subject‑matter expert in Epic Cadence, client and Access Center operations workflows, the Analyst is responsible for implementing new decision support systems and modifying existing systems, configuring applications, providing go‑live support, and delivering ongoing client support. The role requires working on multiple projects concurrently while providing outstanding client service and contributing to the organization’s mission of improving patient care through Epic‑powered solutions that optimize patient access across the Ambulatory enterprise.
Responsibilities
Build, test, and implement decision support across specialties within Ambulatory.
Maintain decision support systems to ensure scheduling accuracy for Access Centers.
Assume intimate knowledge of Epic Cadence and advanced scheduling methodology.
Pro‑actively assist with escalated operational management and client issues, serving as a resource for stakeholders to address internal and external client needs.
Provide consultative services to clients regarding desired outcomes and offer recommendations or solutions to Cadence‑related scheduling concerns.
Collaborate with Digital and Technology Partners on tickets regarding template change requests from operational clients.
Support go‑live and roll‑out initiatives, collaborating with Access Centers, Ambulatory, and DTP, and assist users on new Epic applications, modules, and functionality.
Analyze multiple data streams to improve the delivery of coordinated scheduling and identify areas for improvement in scheduler accuracy and efficiency.
Assess the impact of day‑to‑day change requests on centralized templates and decision trees, testing all change requests through different Epic environments in coordination with DTP.
Implement and innovate processes that drive accuracy and operational efficiency to provide the highest level of client service.
Successfully complete all Advanced Scheduling assigned tasks and projects in a timely manner.
Track and trend performance data, quickly identifying trends to resolve issues before they disrupt service delivery.
Increase throughput and efficiency of ambulatory scheduling with a focus on Access Centers.
Frequently engage with Capacity Management leadership as a subject‑matter expert in access and scheduling optimization.
Qualifications Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred (or high school degree with equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience).
Experience Requirements
1–2 years of healthcare experience in an outpatient setting, including healthcare operations, medical office administration, and/or healthcare information systems.
Experience with Epic (Cadence, Prelude, etc.).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Visio.
