Maintenance Technician I
Location: Redmond, OR • Schedule: Monday‑Friday (8 am‑5 pm) • Hours: 40 Full Time
Responsibilities
Assist the maintenance team in keeping the building in good repair, performing minor plumbing, janitorial, and related maintenance activities.
Ensure that all repairs are completed in a timely and appropriate manner.
Pick up trash and keep breezeways, sidewalks, and grounds clear of clutter; rake and shovel as needed.
Assist in cleaning and turnover of vacant apartments to make them rent‑ready for the next tenant.
Help conduct move‑out inspections, including checking smoke detectors and other directed inspections.
Complete maintenance requests, work orders, and update the Property Maintenance Log daily.
Perform regular preventative maintenance inspections of all units.
Notify the Community Manager of safety‑related issues and lease agreement violations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1–3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Driver’s License and insurance.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers or employees.
Proficiency in basic math skills.
Ability to solve practical problems and handle limited standardization.
Physical ability to walk, lift 50–75 lbs regularly, and occasionally lift >100 lbs.
Ability to reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required.
Tool Requirements The employee must supply their own tools for maintenance work at work sites. A list of required tools may be obtained within 60 days of employment.
Schedule & Compensation Compensation: $17.00–$21.00 per hour. 40 hours per week. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, RX, PTO, 11 paid holidays, disability and life insurance, and employee assistance program.
