Base Pay Range $20.00/hr - $21.00/hr
Position Summary The Medical Assistant will support physicians and other members of the health care team at Podiatry Associates, INC Denver by gathering patient medical history, obtaining and recording vital statistics, and occasionally assisting with minor, office-based procedures. They will enter the required information into EMR to ensure the quality of care. They will be required to travel to all 6 locations as needed in the greater Denver area (Castle Pines, Parker, Aurora & Denver).
Job Function and Duties
Greet patients promptly and courteously
Perform duties under the supervision and direction of the physician
Assist Physician in the exam room
Provide patient instruction as directed by the physician
Triage patients as needed
Complete patient paperwork and enter into the EMR at the time of encounter
Update medical records
Prepare tools and trays for physicians
Assist with procedures
Answer phones, schedule appointments, clean and stock exam rooms
Create/Transfer orders
Required Skills & Abilities
HIPAA and OSHA knowledge and Compliance
Certified Medical Assistant Certification preferredMedical office experience preferred
Must be professional and courteous
Podiatry terminology knowledge/experience preferred
Excellent communication skills
Organizational skills
Ability to work with a team or independently
Knowledge of EMR/Computer Skills
Physical Demands
Must be able to walk/stand for long periods of time.
May be required to bend, reach and lift up to 20 pounds as needed throughout the day.
Schedule and Related Information
Full time up to 40 Hours Per Week
Travel to 6 locations as necessary
