The role of a Cloud Field Engineering Manager involves managing a team of cloud solutions architects working directly with customers to design private and public cloud solutions, including Openstack, MicroCloud, Ceph, Kubernetes, Kubeflow, Spark, PostgreSQL, etc. The manager will handle line management, career development, technical representation, and collaboration with other teams and customers. Active participation in presales is also required. Location:
This is a home-based role, managing a team within your time zone. Daily responsibilities include: Leading and developing a team of Field engineers Solving customer problems and providing technical advice Remote work within a single major time zone Mentoring and career guidance Monitoring team health indicators Implementing engineering processes Representing your team and products to stakeholders Developing engineering practices Managing project progress Collaborating with leadership and other teams Qualifications: Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, Openstack, AWS, GCP, Azure, Ceph Linux and networking expertise Experience in technical presales Strong communication skills in English Experience in leading and mentoring engineers Organizational skills and timely delivery High academic achievement Willingness to travel up to 40% Additional skills (preferred): Spanish or French language skills Python knowledge Experience with external partners and stakeholder feedback Benefits include:
