This role is perfect for an experienced nurse who thrives in a collaborative environment and is capable of managing high-acuity patients with limited staff. Key Responsibilities: - Provide high-quality nursing care in a freestanding emergency department setting.- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in alignment with best practices.- Perform essential emergency procedures including chest tube placements, intubations, conscious sedation, wound repairs, and splinting.- Operate advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, CPAP/BiPap, and Lucas devices.- Collaborate closely with a small team of nurses to ensure optimal patient outcomes.- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records using Meditech. Ideal Candidate Profile: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room, preferably in a trauma facility.- Experience in a freestanding emergency room setting is a plus.- Proficiency in running lab equipment such as Piccolo, Istat, Triage Meter, ID Now, and Clinitek is preferred.- Strong ability to manage a diverse patient population, providing critical care in high-pressure situations.- Must possess excellent teamwork skills and adaptability in a dynamic work environment. Required Certifications: - BLS (Basic Life Support)- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Work Schedule: - Commitment to work at least 2 weekend shifts every 2 weeks.
