The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment. Candidates must have at least 2.5 years of nursing experience, including specialized skills in surgical cases. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver patient care in a surgical environment with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.- Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare for and assist with a variety of surgical procedures, including general, orthopedic, gynecological, and ophthalmology surgeries.- Utilize and maintain equipment in sterile conditions, ensuring aseptic technique is followed.- Perform pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-ups to ensure patient well-being. Qualifications: - Minimum of 2.5 years of nursing experience in an OR setting. - Valid NM nursing license or Compact license. - Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS. - First-time travelers are welcome to apply. - Must have experience with Meditech charting system. - Experience with various surgical procedures is preferred. Patient Demographics: - Work with diverse patient age groups, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.- Daily patient care involving an average census of 13 with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Work Environment: - Critical Access Hospital with 25 beds, offering both inpatient and outpatient care.- Smoke/Nicotine-free campus policy.- Committed to providing a supportive and collaborative working atmosphere. Additional Requirements: - Must be able to work weekends and some holidays as required; lateral float may be needed within the unit.- On-call duty as necessary, with a response time of 30 minutes if called in.
