The Director of Academic Affairs Administration reports to the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (VP & COO) of Academic Affairs and the UT Southwestern Medical Group, as well as the Associate Vice President for Academic and Clinical Operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the achievement of key action items and leading high-priority projects that support the implementation of operational strategy. The Director will work closely with executive leadership and must be capable of operating with minimal supervision. Essential Functions

Provide oversight and direction for assigned projects and coordinate general operations and strategic planning within Academic Affairs Administration Serve as a key advisor to the VP & COO and collaborate closely with the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Vice Provosts Provide analytical support and synthesize complex issues for decision-making Identify, track, and report on action items, decisions, and emerging issues Lead and coordinate special projects that advance operational strategy Collaborate with Academic Affairs leadership to develop annual goals, objectives, and incentive plans aligned with institutional priorities Monitor progress toward goals and revise strategies as needed Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity Streamline activities across Academic Affairs and cross-functional teams Develop and deliver reporting as needed Provide broad oversight of administrative and business-related activities, requiring deep institutional knowledge and sound judgment Qualifications

Required: Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field

Experience:

6 years of healthcare administration experience

Preferred: Education:

Master's degree

Experience:

Experience in an academic medical setting

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills

Strong financial and analytical capabilities

Ability to manage multiple complex issues and prioritize effectively

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
