Engineering Tutor Position

We are seeking a knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated Engineering Tutor to support engineering students in understanding and mastering engineering concepts. The ideal candidate will provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions, help students develop effective study strategies, and foster a positive learning environment. Responsibilities Provide tutoring in core engineering subjects such as statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, circuits, fluid mechanics, and/or programming (depending on your expertise). Assist students in understanding homework assignments, preparing for exams, and developing problem-solving skills. Encourage independent learning and critical thinking. Collaborate with other tutors and staff to improve tutoring strategies and materials. Back up-front desk when needed. Assist with College of Engineering events when needed. Participate in social media posts to promote the Engineering Study Hub and the College of Engineering. Required Qualifications Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno. Candidate must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Candidate has earned at least a B in any course that you tutor. Candidate has been a University of Nevada, Reno student for at least one year. Candidate is available to work between 5 to 15 hours per week.
